BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

Brazilian Jiujitsu is a martial art focused primarily on grappling and ground fighting.  The primary goal of a BJJ practitioner is to engage the opponent with the intent of taking the fight to the ground. Once there, techniques are employed to control the opponent, limit their movement and eventually submit the opponent. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu differs from other martial arts fundamentally. While other martial arts rely heavily on strength and speed, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu relies on superior technique and leverage.

JUDO

Judo is a martial art, means to physical education and a pedagogic system. The guiding principles of Judo are making the best use of one's physical and mental powers as well as mutual welfare. Judo techniques help people develop basic and fundamental physical fitness in a number of ways, such as the development of strength, flexibility, agility, speed, dynamic and static balance, explosive power, and endurance.  Judo is a rigorous and demanding physical activity. MUAY THAI - KICKBOXING

Endurance is probably one of the most important abilities a Muay Thai practitioner wants to have. Endurance, or the ability to repeat an action over and over, requires two different kinds of conditioning: aerobic and anaerobic. It is performed at a low to moderate pace for a longer period of time, focusing on keeping one’s heart rate slower and stronger.  The constant work with punches and kicks will help you develop your offensive skills, it also sharpens your reflexes and helps you with aerobic conditioning.  For a Muay Thai fighter, having good cardio means that he has more energy in the ring, giving him a greater chance of winning. KIDS JUDO CLASS

Here at Ace MMA, we approach Judo in a safe, systematic way, ensuring that our instruction fits your child’s abilities and confidence level. We help our youth learn by teaching proper techniques and body biomechanics. Our kid's class starts at age 5 and continues through age 15 years old. Students age 14 and up may enter the adult class depending on their coordination and experience. Our classes are balanced between technique, free practice, physical fitness, and games. Your child will NOT be learning “how to fight,” instead they will learn how to play within a sport environment. Your child will learn valuable skills such as learning how to safely play with others in the sport, learning respect and discipline, and how to contribute to the team and community. Classes also incorporate basic self-defense for kids. We make sure that your children will know how to avoid and prevent self-defense situations and know what to do when a situation cannot be avoided. As part of our self-defense lessons, we also teach children how to respond to bullies. Ace approach is to teach nonviolent responses to bullying.
